Shooting in Low-Light Situations: Tactical Tips from a Navy SEAL

long range scopes Oct 24, 2023

Today, I want to talk to you about a tactical tip that can be a game-changer when it comes to shooting in low-light situations with your precision rifle. Sometimes, in the shooting world, we tend to take certain things for granted as common knowledge. But when we have students who are new to shooting or precision rifles, questions arise that make us realize not everyone knows these essentials. So, let's dive into the world of low-light shooting, particularly during dusk and dawn, and explore how the right optics and techniques can make all the difference.

The Importance of Optics

I want to emphasize the critical role optics play when you're shooting in low-light conditions. One of the key factors you need to consider is the size of the objective lens on your scope. The objective lens, located at the front of the scope, determines how much light your scope can gather. A larger objective lens allows more light to enter, making it extremely valuable in low-light conditions....

Work Ethic Shows Your Character

character Sep 05, 2023

Coming off of Labor Day, I wanted to reflect on the importance of Work Ethic. I have a new video up in the Team Room for a more in-depth look at this topic but wanted to share the following:

The way you complete your work is your signature. People tie your results to your character, pride, and accountability. If you do a crap job on the little things, don't expect people to start giving you more responsibility because they believe you will handle the bigger tasks the same way.

When you do a job, do it the best you can. Who knows what other opportunities are around the corner.

Members can check out the complete talk in the FSW Team Room.

Hurricane Last Minute Preps

prep Aug 29, 2023

With hurricane season upon us, it's crucial to ensure you're prepared for whatever Mother Nature might throw our way. As we focus on last-minute hurricane preparedness, let's discuss some essential tips to keep you and your loved ones safe during potential storms.

Last-Minute Hurricane Prep Tips:

1. Emergency Kit Check: Take a quick inventory of your emergency kit. Double-check that it includes non-perishable food, water, medications, batteries, flashlights, a first aid kit, and important documents.

2. Secure Outdoor Items: Strong winds can turn outdoor objects into hazards. Safely stow away items like patio furniture, potted plants, and decorations to prevent them from becoming projectiles.

3. Communication Plan: Have a communication plan in place with family and friends. Ensure everyone knows where to gather and how to stay connected if you're separated.

4. Stay Informed:  Stay tuned to local news and weather updates. Stay informed about the hurricane's...

Grateful for the Responsibility of Being a Man by Anthony Rivera

Below is a Guest Post from Anthony “Riv” Rivera, former Navy SEAL.

Grateful for the Responsibility of Being a Man

1 Corinthians 16:13-14, “be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

First off, I love being a man! Being given the responsibility to lead, protect, and provide by God is an honor and a privilege. Everyday I thank God that He chose me to have this responsibility. This calling was exponentially easier when I was single and had no children, of course. Anyone who has ever led anything or anyone can attest to this; it is easier to lead one than it is to lead many. Carrying the load of manly responsibility and leadership is challenging all the time. It is a challenge that I accept with open arms because I have faith that God put the challenges in front of me to teach me valuable lessons like humility, self-respect, partnership,...

How should Steven Crowder's actions reflect how I view Christians

christian mindset May 02, 2023

How disappointed are we when people we have placed on pedestals fail or make mistakes?

Do you remember when you looked up to someone and they failed?

Unfortunately, humans make mistakes and fall short. You shouldn't view Christianity based on the actions of fallible people.

Instead, you must view it through the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is the Truth.
