The FSW Precision Marksman is the perfect course for clients who are looking to learn the fundamental skills and principals it takes to execute long distance accuracy with a rifle. Taught by veteran Navy SEAL Snipers, this is an essential course for any serious rifle owner.
After attending this course you will feel confident in your skills and have a detailed understanding of your capabilities with your rifle. Practicing what you learn, the Precision Marksman course will lead you on the path of pinpoint accuracy with your firearm at the range or on the hunt!
Held in the beautiful Ocala Forest at our Deep Woods USA facility, this is sure to be an amazing and also challenging experience. Clients will have the ability to shoot steel targets at multiple distances up to 850 yards away (see description of levels below). This is one of the only locations in FL that provides this kind of distance! So, if you spent thousands of dollars on a high powered rifle and have not had the opportunity to truly shoot it at its potential, then you don't want to miss this course of instruction!
Training Level Descriptions:
LEVEL 1
This course will cover:
-Utilizing holds for faster engagements on targets at distances between 50-400 meters
-The 7 shooting points of performance for maximum accuracy
-Bullet path vs. line of sight
-Utilizing iron sights
-Proper mounting of optics
-How to custom fit your rifle for you to reduce parallax in your scope and stress on your neck and eyes
-The natural effects of the environment and how to adjust for the conditions for more predictable accuracy
LEVEL 2
This course will cover:
-Establish or confirm DOPE for 400-800 meters
-The 7 shooting points of performance for maximum accuracy
-Finding stability in unorthodox shooting positions
-Bullet trajectory vs. line of sight, and how it applies to ranging the target properly
-Mils vs. MOA and how we use each to achieve our goals
-Ranging targets effectively utilizing the scope reticle
-Reading mirage and environmental factors for effectively making adjustments for wind
-The natural effects of the environment and how to adjust for the conditions for more predictable accuracy
-Learn how to recognize and read bullet trace, and how to use it to make adjustments for next round hits
-Utilizing holds for faster engagements on targets at distances between 400-800 meters
*Note-If your rifle and scope is not currently set up and confirmed out to 400 yards/meters please join us for the Level-1 course before attending the Level-2*
